A stellar lineup of speakers who are experts on various aspects of the community headline the Chamber's third annual Gables Outlook 2000, set for Friday, Jan. 21, at 7:45 a.m. at the Omni Colonnade Hotel, 180 Aragon Avenue.

Gables Outlook 2000 is a public discussion about the business, the economy and quality of life in Coral Gables in 2000 and beyond.

Sponsored by the Omni Colonnade, this year's Outlook discussion will feature Michael William of NBC 6 as the moderator, and the following scheduled panelists: Coral Gables Mayor Raul Valdes-Fauli; Willy Bermello, president of Bermello, Ajamil and Partners Inc.; Robert Beatty, partner with Holland and Knight, and Tony Villamil, director of Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development for the State of Florida.

Among the topics the panelists will cover include economic development, education, international business, welfare to work, crime and security, government, and Coral Gables' relationship with the South Florida region.

Chamber members, officers, directors, and anyone who wants to discuss the economic future and quality of life in Coral Gables should plan to attend Gables Outlook 2000.

Chaired by Carol Ellis-Cutler of Abood and Associates, Gables Outlook 2000 is the fourth installment of the popular inaugural event held in January 1997. This year's Outlook presentation will begin with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by the panel discussion from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

"Everyone who has a vested interest in the future of Coral Gables should come and participate in this exchange," said Ron Robison, president of the chamber. "We are encouraging leaders of various community and service organizations to participate in Gables Outlook 2000."

The public is invited to attend this free event, but persons planning to participate must RSVP to 305-446-2900. For more information, call the Gables Chamber at 305-446-1657.
