On Saturday, Mar. 11, the South Dade Unit of the American
Cancer Society will be honoring five "Women of the Year" at its
annual fashion show and luncheon.
Organizations are invited to nominate an outstanding woman
who has made a significant contribution to the group and to the community
at large, specifically during the past two years, according to Susan
Garrison, "Women of the Year" chair. Name and biographical
information should be submitted by Feb. 1.
Those selected will be informed by phone and their appearance at a press
luncheon and the fashion show is mandatory. Each ticket for the elegant
fashion show and luncheon to be held at Keys Gate Country Club is a $30 or
$35 donation and the nominating organization may purchase it for its
candidate.
