Interval International announced today that Stephen Magrill has re-joined the company in the newly created position, vice president of consumer and membership marketing. In this capacity, Magrill will be responsible for overseeing Membership Marketing, including direct mail and outbound sales/telemarketing, and the Travel Marketing department at the South Miami-based vacation exchange company. "We are very pleased to have this seasoned marketing executive rejoin Interval in his new capacity," said Jeanette Marbert, chief operating officer at Interval. "Steve will leverage his extensive consumer marketing expertise to assist us in further increasing our member retention rates and developing new travel benefits and value-added products and services for our consumer members. He will play a key role in Interval's future growth." Magrill and his staff will collaborate with the company's marketing and operational staffs in Europe, Asia and Latin America to ensure the maximization of Interval's global membership renewal strategies. In the area of member benefits and services, Magrill will work closely with senior management and the Corporate Marketing department in an ongoing effort to enhance Interval's leadership in the development and implementation of innovative programs for the key consumer segments within Interval's membership base. Magrill was previously with Interval from 1985-1998, serving as vice president of marketing and strategic planning since 1994. In this position, he was responsible for the development and management of marketing programs, products, benefits and services for both members and developers, and provided key support in the areas of market research and the creation of customized programs for Interval's developer clients. Magrill and his staff developed the highly successful Interval Preferred and Worldex Travel Club programs, the first Web site and CD-ROM, and key strategic alliances such as the Resort View multimedia lead generation program, and Interval Purchasing Services (IPS) through Carlson Hospitality Worldwide Procurement Division. For the past year, Magrill served as vice president of affinity marketing for Simon Brand Ventures, a strategic business unit of Simon Property Group. |
