PERSONAL SUCCESS CORNER

I want to start out by letting everyone know who is reading this column for the first time, that I am very excited to be writing for the community newspapers. The idea for this column is to deliver each and every week a new topic that will cover some aspect of human behavior or some area of personal achievement.

Personal success and achievement are as much an individual circumstance as your fingerprints. Many people spend a lot of time, money, and energy chasing after Success. And to everyone who reads this column success is measured differently. Success is not only about having your finances in order, but also about your relationships with others, your health, communication with yourself and the outside world and most of all being truly happy with who and where you are in this journey called life.

The purpose of this column is to share strategies and ideas that can be of benefit to your own life. For some of you, what I write will be a friendly reminder of something you have heard before. For others seeking personal growth. I will hopefully be opening a new way to approach an area of your life you may not have considered.

I have always felt that our true education for how we are to live our lives begins directly after graduation from school, in my case college. Yet. I didn't really find any formal classes to teach me how to be successful in life. As a result I stumbled around and made lots of mistakes (sometimes painful ones). I was in my early 20's when I decided to begin to study life, people and how and why we do the things we do both good and bad. I still have many more questions than answers, but I was also lucky enough to find some good teachers along the way.

If you are open to learning, and open to trying new ideas, than I hope you will follow this column on a regular basis. There are many topics to cover and I would like to suggest you put together a scrapbook to cut out and keep these columns for future reference.

Many times, when I go back to something I read I realize where I was and where I have come, It is nice to see yourself make progress in anything you do.

I am also excited to tell you that you may e-mail me with questions or feedback regarding any topics we talk about. My personal goal is to reach out with information that will be a benefit to all whom read. Mention this column to your family, friends, co-workers and whomever else you feel can benefit from information on personal success and achievement. Together with your feedback, questions and my sharing of ideas we can have some fun and grow in our personal journey towards success and happiness.
