In the mean streets of East Los Angeles, a dying mother relays a valuable lesson to her precious 9-year-old daughter. Isabelle: "We shouldn't have to give up the thing we love to be with the one we love. Let your light shine," -- a lesson she had learned after her husband gave up his boxing career for his family. Fifteen years later, Belle has a dream of her own -- to continue the journey her father began and become a champion. Does this "knockout" have what it takes to make it in the cold, cruel world of boxing -- a world exceedingly dominated by men? In the tradition of Champion, Rocky, and Raging Bull, get ready for this year's main event --Knockout. Knockout, produced and directed by Lorenzo Doumani, stars Sophia-Adelia Hernandez, Eduardo Yañez, Tony Plana, William McNamara with Maria Conchita Alonso and Paul Winfield. Knockout, rated PG-13, opens Friday, Feb. 4 in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.. |
