South Broward Cardiology Consultants (SBCC) and USCardiovascular announce the opening of its new freestanding diagnostic catherization center in Hollywood. The Heart and Vascular Center of Hollywood will enable our respected cardiovascular specialists-who have performed over 25,000 invasive cardiac procedures during the past 20 years-to perform procedures in a safe, modern outpatient facility.

The center, the first in Broward County, is one of over a hundred private, freestanding diagnostic catherization centers now functioning around the country. "We are at the point where the technology and skill level that we have achieved makes it perfectly safe to perform these procedures in an outpatient setting," said Dr. Barry Alter, Medical Director of The Heart and Vascular Center of Hollywood.

SBCC is celebrating the opening of its new state-of-the art diagnostic center by hosting a free heart and vascular screening on Monday, February 28, 1-4 PM at The Heart and Vascular Center of Hollywood, 4010 Sheridan Street, Hollywood (Southwest corner of 40th and Sheridan Street).
