Arvida Realty Foundation's quest to raise $1,000,000
for Florida non-profit organizations by the end of the year is just
$250,000 short of its goal, with 11 months remaining in the campaign.

"The possibility of raising a million dollars by
the end of the millennium year has inspired our sales associates and
employees," said Susan Carole, Miami-Dade County Foundation
chairperson and managing director of Arvida's Aventura office.
"They generously support the Foundation because they know that
100 per cent of the money collected is distributed in the region where
it was raised."
The Arvida Realty Foundation was established in 1995
and since then more than 320 charitable organizations in the state
have received allocations from the fund. Arvida sales associates and
employees contribute to the Foundation and the company matches the
total.
The Foundation has played host to numerous
fund-raising events over the years, including a special performance at
the Actors Playhouse of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, a book
drive in association with the Miami Book Fair International and a
chili cook-off.
Reportedly, non-profit corporations in Miami-Dade
County alone receive about $25,000 a year from the foundation,
including a $12,000 grant last year to the Public Education Fund to
purchase defibrillators for nine public schools.
"These contributions make a big difference and
touch the lives of many in our communities," said Carole.
"Our Foundation is committed to supporting educational,
environmental, social and cultural programs throughout Florida."
Carole, a Realtor with Arvida for seven years, has
served as the Miami-Dade Foundation chairperson for the last two
years, is the statewide secretary and a member of the organization's
Board of Advisors.
"Susan's commitment to Arvida's Foundation and
our community is extraordinary," said Pat Dahne, Arvida vice
president. "She does a wonderful job coordinating the giving for
our 11 Miami-Dade offices and inspires all of us to be more
involved."
