Students break ground

Some 300 students, parents and community leaders joined May 23 to break ground on a building addition to the Greenfield Day School on the campus of the Dave and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center, 11155 SW 112 Ave., in Kendall. The new wing will include a state-of-the-art science laboratory and network hub for the school's wireless laptop student center. The Greenfield Day School serves students in grades K-8.
