It is my personal experience that CRNA's are more than capable of giving anesthetics without the supervision of an anesthesiologist. hey have been doing so for over 100 years. I have had several major surgeries and I have ALWAYS requested a CRNA to give my anesthetic, and lo and behold! I am still here to tell about it! I don't understand why they keep making up this lies about patients dying if the CRNAs are not supervised. Most of the time the anesthesiologists are in the coffee room or on the phone with their stock brokers while the CRNA is giving anesthesia. It is time to stop making up lies about CRNAs and face the facts about who is really giving anesthesia during surgical procedures. Sincerely, |
